Medical Tourism in Cyprus
The Cyprus Health Service Promotion Board in close collaboration with the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, is continuing to direct its activities towards the promotion of health services within the private sector, and ultimately the promotion of Cyprus as an attractive healthcare destination.
In this context, the organization will participate on the 25th and 26th of June 2011 in the Annual Wine Festival organized by the Cypriot community in the exhibition hall of Alexandra Palace in North London. Here the Cyprus Health Body will have its own booth and will provide information surrounding the services that are offered by the private healthcare sector as well as the opportunities that exist to combine holidays with a variety of healthcare issues.
This festival is something that has been occurring for the past 21 consecutive years, with great success, and has established itself as one of the main events where mass participants from the Cypriot community continuously emerge.
Cyprus is becoming a very popular destination for British tourists especially in regards to treatments relating to dentistry, plastic surgery and IVF. One of the main reasons is down to the excellent weather conditions that Cyprus has to offer, especially during the winter months, offering the opportunity for tourists to recover and recuperate after major operations.
